The seven-day NSS Special Camp titled “Oruvattom” was successfully conducted from 16 to 22 April 2026 at Catholicate Higher Secondary School, Pothukal, Nilambur, by NSS volunteers of KCAEFT, Tavanur. The camp commenced with an orientation session for volunteers, following which the team proceeded to Pothukal to carry out a series of community-oriented activities. The week-long programme focused on service learning, rural engagement, leadership development, teamwork, and self-discipline, while also providing students with interactions related to planting material production, nursery management, and farmer engagement. The camp offered valuable exposure to community living and social responsibility through active participation in outreach and extension activities.
