The Department of Banking and Finance Management, College of Co-operation, Banking and Management (CCBM), Kerala Agricultural University, organized "Dhanapatham", a Financial Literacy Training Programme for Farmers, on 13 July 2026 at the Green Army Training Centre, Athani, Thrissur, in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India, Financial Inclusion Development Department, and Canara Bank, Lead Bank Office, Thrissur.
As part of the programme, students conducted a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) activity among the farmers of Mundathikode Grama Panchayat. Sri. Muhammad Sajid, Chief General Manager, Reserve Bank of India, delivered an address on financial literacy, digital banking, and financial inclusion. The programme provided students with valuable field exposure while enhancing financial awareness among the farming community.
