To commemorate Mendel’s 200th Birth Anniversary, a quiz programme “DECODER” was conducted by Department of Plant Breeding & Genetics, College of Agriculture, Padannakkad on 20th July 2022 at college auditorium. It was a five round competition which included Mendel round, Who am I, Connection round, Action round and Buzzer round. There were a total of 8 teams. Judging panel consisted of 3 persons, Dr. Sunil, Ms. Amritha and Ms. Nithya. The winners of this competition were First Prize- Aishwarya A. & Akshaya R.S.(2021 UG), Second Prize-Angel Reji & Ansila Fathima (2021 UG) and Third Prize- Fasna & Abina A. (2019 UG).A documentary of Mendel was also screened as part of the program. Dr. Mini PK (Dean CoA, Padannakkad) was the guest of honour. Validatory function started with the key note speech of Chief guest, followed by felicitation by Dr. Sumesh and Dr. Raji. Program went on with utmost success ending with prize distribution to the winners and vote of thanks by Dr. Vaijayanthi
