In a significant move to enhance sustainable farming practices among Scheduled Caste (SC) farmers, a series of training sessions were recently held in Thiruvananthapuram district, under the All India Network Project on Soil Biodiversity-Biofertilizers SC Sub Plan. These sessions, focused on the popularization of microbial inoculants, took place in Kilmanoor, Pulimath, and Veganoor, witnessing the participation of seventy-five farmers.

As part of the Foundation Day (01/02/2024) of Kerala Agricultural University, an inauguration ceremony was organized to inaugurate the Weather Data Centre and Automatic Weather Station at College of Agriculture, Padannakkad. The facilities were created by using the funds from Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana – Remunerative Approaches for Agriculture and Allied Sectors Rejuvenation (RKVY-RAFTAAR).
