As per the initiative of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) it has been directed to implement scientific beekeeping at the available space in the unit campuses of Central Armed Police Forces in collaboration with National Honey Mission. As part of this, National Bee Board (NBB) has shared a complete list of State/ Central govt. institutions offering courses on scientific beekeeping across the country along with nodal officers (Mr. Rajesh Yadav, commandant, CRPF Pallippuram) contact details state/ zone wise.
Accordingly, a three day scientific training on beekeeping has been conducted from 18th to 20th of September, 2024 at AICRP on Honey Bees and Pollinators, Regional Agricultural Research Station, Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram. A total of 24 trainees (CRPF – 20 CISF- 4) participated in the event.
