College of Forestry observed the Constitution Day 2017.
Smt. Saraswathi Sathasivam, wife of Hon’ble Governor of Kerala visited the Museum of College of Forestry, KAU on 5th August 2016. She was accompanying with Justice P. Sathasivam, Hon. Chancellor for the Vice Chancellors’ conference held at the Kerala Agricultural University, Vellanikkara. Vice Chancellors of 13 universities in the State participated in the conference. Dr. K. Vidyasagaran, Dean, COF welcomed her at the college. Faculty of the college accompanied her to the museum and explained about various achievements of the college.
College of Forestry in collaboration with Bird Count India hosted the National Conference on Bird Monitoring through Citizen Science on 11th and 12th June 2016. The conference was intended to familiarize the importance of e-birding and the status of e-birding in different states of the nation. It also discussed about the ethics to be followed in e-birding throughout India.
KVK Malappuram has won ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) awards viz., ‘Best Krishi Vigyan Kendra Award’ in zone VIII for the year 2015 and ‘Atal Rashtriya Krishi Vigyan Protsahan Puraskar’ in zone XI for the year 2016 as a result of excellent team work and exemplary linkage with line departments, farmers and funding agencies. Best Krishi Vigyan Kendra Award will be presented on the occasion of ICAR foundation day on 16th July 2016 and Atal Rashtriya Krishi Vigyan Protsahan Puraskar will be conferred in December, 2016.
