Basic Information

The department currently offers courses for the students of BSc Agriculture (Hons), B.tech Biotechnology and Diploma in Organic Agriculture. Apart from the curricular activities the department is involved in the management of the livestock farm associated with the college. The department is in the fore front in offering advisory services to the farmers with regard to animal husbandry along with diagnostic and treatment advices.

History:

The Department of Animal Husbandry came into existence in 1955 during the inception of the College of Agriculture at Vellayani Campus. The department was established to provide education to the undergraduate students of agriculture in the field of livestock and poultry management.
